They have a lifespan of about 18 months we highly recommend keeping them in cooler water around the mid to low 70s for the best breeding environment. We also recommend using substrates that will help with keeping caridinas such as fluval stratum or Amazonia substrates.

Temperature 68° - 78°
PH 6-6.8
GH 4-5

We keep our caridina shrimp with various tannic leaves such as pin oak and indian almond leaves to help lower the PH we highly recommend using some botanicals with these shrimp.
These shrimp can live in ranges outside of these parameters with a good amount of success for instance we have kept these shrimp with a PH of 7.2-7.3 with decent success however that may not work for everyone.
Tank size 10 gallons for a group of 6+
Breeding
If you want to breed these shrimp I highly recommend following the exact ideal parameters we have listed. Once you get them going they aren’t too difficult to breed feed them a high quality diet and make sure they are molting properly. Most importantly have consistent water parameters and I am sure you will have success with them.
